길을 찾아서

말이 필요없는 수퍼밀리언 히트앨범  Make it Big의 최대히트곡. 이런류의 발라드를 이리도 감미롭게 부르는 가수는 조지 마이클이 유일할 듯. 

작사,작곡 능력도 대단해서 대부분의 곡을 조지마이클 본인이 직접 만들었으며, 편곡과 프로듀싱도 직접 다 했다. 요즘말로 하자면 한마디로 완전한 초사기캐이다.

이 노래는 2천년대 초까지도 겨울만 되면 Last Christmas와 함께 라디오에서 거의 매일 들을 수 있던 곡이었다.

가사의 내용은 애인을 둔 남자가 다른 여자와의 하룻밤의 불장난으로 이별하게 된 아픔을 노래한 내용이다. 사실 여자들이 좋아할만한 내용은 아닐 것 같은데 여자들이 아주 좋아해서 참 의외였다라는 기억이 난다.

이 정도의 재능은 그냥 타고나야 된다. 그래서 탤런트라고 하나보다.

가사의 내용은 팜프파탈적이다. 연예계 가십을 보면 얘도 성격이 장난이 아닌 듯 하다.

아마도 꽤 오랫동안 스캔달 메이커가 되지 않을까 기대해본다.

가사가 너무 좋다. 봄 혹은 가을에 자주 듣게 된다.

영화 그리고 OST가 이렇게 잘 어울리고, 또한 각각 아카데미와 그래미 어워드를 수상할 정도로 훌륭한 앙상블은 보기 드물 것이다. 또한 영화의 제목인 필라델피아는 이 영화의 배경도시이자, 라틴어의 어원상의 뜻이 형제에 대한 사랑을 의미하는데 이 영화의 내용과는 아주 아이러니한 댓구를 보여주는 점도 인상적이다. 이 노래는 영화의 오프닝으로 쓰여졌는데 개인적으론 엔딩에 썼으면 더 좋았을 것 같다는 생각이 든다.

개인적으로 이 영화에서 제일 좋아하는 부분이다. 영화관에선 이 부분에서 숨이 막힐 정도였다.
