 인천(정확히는 부평)에 갔다가 거기서 버스를 타서 이 노래를 우연히 들었다. 라디오는 아니었던 것 같고 기사 아저씨가 60대 정도로 보였는데, 아마 테이프나 CD 편집반을 틀었던 듯 싶다. 딱 첫 소절을 듣고 무슨 노래인지 알수 있을 정도로 내 어린 시절 라디오에서 매일매일 흘러나오던 곡이었다. 거의 초딩때부터 중학교까지 몇 년간 라디오에서 너무나 자주 듣던 곡이다.

레게를 기반으로 한 디스코 곡인데 당시에 세계적으로도 히트를 했을 게 거의 틀림없다.

위키를 찾아보니 이 곡의 가사는 시편의 19장 14절의 내용을 기반으로 한다고 한다. 특이한 이력을 가졌다.

가사는 매우 단순하며, 성가로 쓰여도 좋을 정도이다.
