1985년 로스앤젤레스에서 결성된 하드록 밴드. 보칼 액슬로즈(Axl Rose)와 리드 기타의 슬래쉬(Slash)의 카리스마와 재능이 이 밴드를 세계적인 밴드로 자리매김하는 원동력이 되었다. 전세계적으로 1억장의 앨범 판매고를 기록한 수퍼밴드.
November Raion은 이 밴드의 최고 히트앨범인 Use your illusion I에 수록된 곡으로, 건즈앤로지스의 최대 히트곡이기도 하다.
장엄한 오케스트라의 백업과 9분 가량의 이 밴드 최고로 긴 곡으로도 유명하다.
이 밴드는 특히 리더이자 보칼인 액슬로즈의 성격탓에 많은 불화에 대한 에피소드가 많다. 로즈와 슬래쉬(현재 슬래쉬는 밴드에서 탈퇴)는 현재는 원수지간이며, 이 비디오에 나오는 신부역의 당시 세계적인 수퍼모델 스테파니 세이무어와의 염문도 굉장했다.
아티스트는 결국 작품으로 이야기할 뿐. 이 노래는 가끔가다 생각나는 명곡이다.
